I'm a Pirate!!!

We were helping Father move from his old house by moving everything from the basement and upstairs to the main floor. We had just completed this task when, after loading up the car this hurricane like wind came rushing over the house. Rain, like a monsoon, was pouring down and water was going up the roof instead of down. I ran from the porch to the sidewalk and back and was soaked.

I told you that story to tell you this story. We came home to dry off and get ready to go 4x4ingwith Taylor, which we didn't do because of the rain. When walking upstairs my eye was caught by a very small bird looking right at me. Since I never pass an opportunity to hold a bird I went over and picked it up. It didn't even move. It simply watched me come over and pick it up. It would have died for sure if left alone.
The poor thing look miserable and tiny because it was soak to the bone, so we took it inside and dried it off. We let it fly about our house and then set it free. It flew to a tree and it's mother found it and was squawking when we left.

The picture above will tell you why I'm a Pirate!!

Aww!!!

I will have to bring over my tadpoles. Claire and I caught a big green frog on Saturday in the pond behind our house and then stole their babies.

Hey my brothers are baby thieves! We have ravens that come and each the baby sparrows, robins, and doves that live in our big tree. About once a week we find a cracked egg or a half eaten baby bird on our lawn. Those ravens are fierce.

"each" should be "eat"
