It was a glorious Saturday up in Rock Canyon;

And I was super excited to use my brand new climbing shoes that Jessica went with me to buy.

Taylor, who never brings a girl to anything, brought a date or a girl or just a friend. I think he was sticking out his tongue as it is customary to introduce your friends to strangers. Also they look like they're married and scolding their child.

Kelly and Matt we both there celebrating their one year anniversary. Awww, so cute! It's like the trust fall on steroids, keep up the counseling!

And then there is my brother-in-law. He has dashingly good looks and is Nacho Libre smiling in this picture because he is hurt and this is where our story really begins.

There I was dangling on the left after setting up two ropes to climb. Both are secure and steady. I'm repelling on the left and Curt is sport climbing on the right. (Essentially free climbing with a rope.) After I reach the ground I look around and start tying the knot for Matt and Kelly to climb on, pun intended, and looked up when I heard someone falling. When I looked at his face he look serious, like he was mad he fell but then we could see he was grabbing his ankle. He didn't look good and came off the wall.

We started taking off his shoe and as soon as we did, Wham! The thing swelled up like a fat kid with allergies. It was bad and Kurt said he was feeling like he was going into shock.
Shock? Shock. No problem we'll just carry you half a mile off the mountain to the car...

La, Laaa, Laaaaa...Letting Kurt hop to the car...

But since we had ample offers to help and Kurt was getting tired we decided we would actually carry him. May I mention Jessica did a very good job in her photography. I look great dear. ;)

So Curt totally broke his foot (heel bone) and is currently recovering. But on the bright side it will give him lots of time to spend with his newborn while Amy goes shopping.
Moral: Don't let Taylor on the mountain with a girl, it brings bad luck. :)

That was excellent story-telling and photography. I think you should snap fish it into a book to read to your future children.
